Cypriol Oil (Nagarmotha)

Cyperus, also known as Nagarmotha in Hindi, belongs to the family of Cyperaceae. The Cypress is a perennial, conical-shaped tree, which is evergreen with solid green foliage, small flowers and round brown-grey cones that contain seed nuts inside. Cypriol Oil is obtained by the steam distillation of dried roots of Cyperus scariosus. The oil is Amber clear viscous liquid with woody, earthy, spicy like cinnamon odor with smoky notes of leather. The oil is mainly used in perfumery formulations.

Common Use:
It is often used in compounding perfumes, in the manufacturing of soaps, medicine and incense sticks. It is also used as an insect repellent.
Nagarmotha oil can be applied on skin, hair, and joints. Nagarmotha oil has stress busting properties.
