Borage Oil

Borage also known as a starflower, is an annual herb in the flowering plant family Boraginaceae .

Borage is a plant. Its flowers and leaves, as well as the oil from its seeds are used as medicine.

Borage Oil is extracted from the seeds of Borago officinalis (an annual bristly herb). Borage seed oil contains a fatty acid called gamma linolenic acid (GLA). GLA seems to have anti-inflammatory effects. Borage is well known as being one of the richest sources of essential fatty acids that exists in nature which makes it useful to help ease sunburned and mature skin. Typically, Borage Oil is diluted with other carrier oils.
